He's only gone and done it again!
With Manchester still in mind, last night wasn't half as tense as it could have been. Yes, England cut it close again, but with Broady in bat? Never a worry!
Another patient and classy performance with the bat (and ball - let's not forget he's actually a damn good bowler too! Two important wickets...) that earned praise from various Sky commentators. What a cricketer. Unfortunately, with Swann's performance during the game he wasn't awarded MOTM, but that's alright, he still got an interview afterwards.
On the subject of interviews, Stuart Broad and Ryan Sidebottom are two of the most well-spoken people on the planet. Composure on and off the pitch! I like it. Was an impressive night after all, and now we're leading the series 2-1 with two games in Columbo left to play. It's supposed to be raining though, which is probably good news considering England don't deal well with pressure.
Anyway, match report here:

What did I miss? ...
... Apart from England's entire 20/20 cup campaign (let's just forget about that particular competition for now, and let's not even get started on these so-called-specialists for England...), two ODI's in Sri Lanka (out of five! I have time to get back into the swing of things), and a whole lot of wickets for our Broady. I've been watching, but not reporting, and I apologise.
Stuart's coping well with the whole over-that-shall-not-be-mentioned thing, has bounced back nicely in the latest series, so far at least. Here's hoping that continues, Broady's got a key role to play tomorrow in Dambulla with the series levelled 1-1.
Once again, the third ODI is live on Sky Sports tomorrow morning from 9:30am - play starts at 10.
Album updated (with latest match pics, training pics, and graphics): http://s213.photobucket.com/albums/cc103/SB39Album/

Bring on Sri Lanka!!!

Roll on tomorrow...
20/20 World Cup - South Africa
England's first game is tomorrow at 12:30 (GMT) against Zimbabwe. Because some of us have prior arrangements and can't up and fly to South Africa for the game, Sky Sports is being lovely and showing it live. Broad's in the squad and will almost definately start, so here's looking forward to a great game.
Couple things from the last week that I've not updated with yet:
We won the series! Haha. 4-3, heroics from England to finish off an awesome ODI series against India. It was the perfect preparation for this coming 20/20 world cup, well done boys. Celebration photos in the album below.

Interviews
Couple post-match interviews
Praise for England's young'uns from the one&only Sir Ian Botham:

Mr. Broad (senior) talks about expectations and such:

Instead of boring you with facts and figures, I'll give you these two simple options.
First, go here: http://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Players/64/64168/64168.html for stats galore that'll keep you entertained if that's what you're into.
Second, watch the lad play. Me personally, I always hated numbers, so I'll stick with playing it by ear (or eye, rather) and go with the latter - statistics just don't do what a live match does for your judgement.
Next game will be tomorrow's (Sunday) 5th ODI at Headingley (booo), live on Sky Sports 1 from 10am for those of you that can't drag yourselves to Yorkshire for the game.
